Dream Tour Wrapup
A month ago or so, I wrote an article for Cycling Utah, a magazine for road and mountain bicycling information in Utah and the Intermountain West. The article was titled “Dream Tour Wrapup” and it appears in the March 2007 issue of the magazine.
If you live in Utah, you can probably run down to your local bicycle shop and pick up a copy of the magazine. For everybody else, it might be easier to view the online version of it. Here’s a link directly to the March 2007 issue:
Enjoy!

Hi Peter, Enjoyed the on-line article about your trip. Thought your comments about “hills” in east and the fact that the roads just seem to head straight up whatever the percent grade. I started my 2006 Northern Tier cross country trip in Maine and quickly ran up against the little hills of New England. When I met east bound riders on the plains they spoke of the western climbs and I told them to think of me when they hit the Appalacians. Of course they would have been in better shape when they hit the eastern hill then I was just starting out westbound.
(We met at our hotel in Batesville, AR where you were with your parents. I still think our meeting was the final push that got me launched for my trip.)
Enjoy reading your blog.
