Patsy Ann of Juneau, Alaska

Ships arriving in Juneau in the 1930’s could count on being met by a white bull terrier named Patsy Ann. Despite being deaf from birth, Patsy Ann was flawless in somehow knowing when and where the next ship would arrive in Juneau and would wander to the dock to meet it. More than fifty years after her death, she is still remembered through a statue at the Juneau waterfront and a web site: www.patsyann.com
